Bedroom/Bathroom Addition with a Kitchen Remodel

This customer wanted to add on to their house, and because of flood setbacks (they live on the river) the only way to build was in front of their house, on a slope. We added a bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in closet and laundry room. We created a new entry and totally remodeled their kitchen, all the while trying to keep with the look of the existing house and making the transition appear seamless. We enjoyed doing this project- it's always fun to see dramatic changes and happy customers!

Leaky Roof?

Sometimes a roof leak may be a sign of a more serious problem. Take for example a roof we recently replaced. It's usually a bad sign when a roof has two layers of shingles, because more times than not, there was a leak and the previous contractor just put the 2nd layer of shingles over the original to "fix" the problem. With this customer, the leak was not fixed properly the first time. As we removed the old roof, we realized that more than half of the deck boards were rotted. We replaced all the rotted deck boards, re-felted, and re-roofed the house. We also removed the old flashing and installed new for added protection. All this, from start to finish, was done in 8 hours time.

Cibolo Job: Back Porch

We recently extended a customer's back porch to include slab area for a hot tub and extended the roof to cover the porch. We ran the electrical for the hot tub and also a ceiling fan. It turned out nicely and blends well with the existing home. Here are some before and after pictures.

Pergolas: Outdoor Living

We just completed this pergola project for one of our customers. It only took us 2 days once we had all the materials (Cedar, asphalt shingles and rock). Pergolas seem to be very popular this summer- this is one of four I have built in the past 2 months. They can vary in size, type of roof, detail, and overall design. I'm even considering building one over a section of my driveway as a nice little carport. They are also great for outdoor kitchen covers, meeting spaces, parks, playgrounds, outdoor living areas, hot tubs, and the list goes on. This specific pergola was built as an outdoor living area and will soon have a rock fireplace as well. Here are some pictures:
